Serve the Church
Children's Ministry
Lead: Diana Kim
At Radiance, we believe that our children can authentically worship just like their parents. It’s our desire that our families would learn how to make Jesus #1 in their hearts and take practical steps to shine His light to the world.

The Children’s Ministry provides our kids with a great start to a meaningful relationship with Christ through fun and practical ways to grow in their faith as we teach them about the Bible from an early age.
College Ministry
Lead: Jimmy Lee
We exist to see college students in San Francisco transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to create a vibrant community where students are focused on growing together in their love for one another and for God, deepening their understanding of the Bible, and fulfilling the Great Commission by making mature followers of Christ.

Our College Ministry is currently consists of students from San Francisco State University and University of San Francisco.
Creative Ministry
Lead: Steven Yuan, Grace Yuan
We believe God has given us creativity to edify the body of Christ. This can vary between photography and video to social media such as our website. By doing so, we provide a resource where they can learn more about Christ and connect with the Radiance community.
Lead: Andres Lee, Jared Lowe
As the Experience Team, we manage the overall logistics of Sunday worship at Radiance. We serve our church by setting up chairs for people to sit in, helping people find seats as they come in, and ensuring that the kids feel safe during Children’s Ministry and more.

Though a lot of what we do may seem like all physical work, we believe that it is also spiritual. Just like Abraham built an altar and worshipped God there, we want to create a place of worship where people come before God on Sundays.
Lead: John Lee, Regina Sin
The Hospitality Team oversees the food and refreshments for the church. We’re responsible for providing weekly Sunday coffee & pastries, monthly newcomers luncheon, and catering larger congregational celebrations throughout the year (ex: Easter, Thanksgiving, etc).

We believe food and fellowship go hand-in-hand, and our ministry serves to give people a warm welcome in addition to a hot cup of coffee!
Lead: Jane Kim
The Prayer Team’s mission is to intercede for Radiance through prayer as we live out the vision to see people and places transformed by the advancement of the Gospel in our own lives, community, culture, and world. We submit our plans, thoughts, fear, and joys of our church body, the city, and the world to God both personally and communally. We value the support and power of communal prayer, so we gather on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings to intercede together.

We believe prayer is the beginning of transformation for us as individuals and for the world at large. We want to know God’s heart intimately as we move forward in earnest surrender. We hope you can join us.
Lead: Steve Xu
The act of enfolding everyone into the body of Christ is important to us, whether the person’s a regular or a newcomer. We want everyone to be warmly, greeted and included - not just at the door of the building, but beyond the walls of the church.

The Welcoming Team is a great place to start serving - all you need is to bring a smile! It’s also a great way to get connected with the church and see the growth of Radiance right before your eyes. It doesn’t matter if you’re an extrovert and introvert, we would love to have you serve with us.
Lead: Alexis Lee
The vision of the Praise Team is to establish an environment where our church community can freely experience God’s presence in worship. We accomplish this by setting up and breaking down equipment, making sure that the audio/visual and technical aspects of the services run smoothly, and continually supporting God’s ministry with personal and corporate prayer.
Worship Tech
Lead: Steven Yuan
Communicating the message of Jesus is a major aspect of the Christian faith. The purpose of this team is to ensure all things related to media on Sundays such as worship slides, sermon notes, and website recordings are available for our congregation.
Serve the City
We believe the Lord Jesus has commanded us to not only preach, but embody the Good News.  That’s why, we want to share the love of Christ with our neighbors in the Fillmore and surrounding neighborhoods. We desire to see people and places transformed by the advancement of the Gospel in our own lives, community, culture, and world.

Listed below are our current efforts.  For more information or any general inquiries, please contact us at
Heart for Fillmore
Lead: Lynn Lee, Danny Tong, Kayla Pak
What was once called the “Harlem of the West”, the Fillmore is one of the most diverse communities in SF with much needs. As a church we hope to impact the community around by meeting on Sundays before or after service to share the love of Christ and for Him to be known to our neighbors in the Fillmore. Please sign up to serve for more information!
Next Door Shelter
Lead: Mike Foster
As part of our outreach efforts, Radiance partners with Next Door Shelter, a homeless shelter serving ~200 single men and women in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. We serve meals and sit with residents during two consecutive services on the third Saturday of each month. We clean up after the second service and get dinner as a group afterward to fellowship and debrief.

The experience is extremely rewarding and humbling, and the residents always have insightful stories to share. Many of the residents remember our returning volunteers and enjoy the cookies we bring. Please sign up to serve at Next door shelter.
Little Brothers of San Francisco - Elderly Outreach
Lead: Jane Zhang
Currently, we are partnering with Little Brothers of San Francisco to visit and bring care packages to some of our elderly neighbors in the Western Addition, many of whom live without many family or friends in the area. We hope to bring friendship, ministry, and care through these visits. We are always looking for new people to adopt our elderlies in the neighborhood. Please sign up to serve.
Foster the Bay - Foster Care Outreach
Lead: Davy Xu
Due to a shortage of foster homes in the Bay Area, children in the foster care system are critically vulnerable to society's most pressing issues. If even a fraction of churches in the Bay Area raises up one Foster Family with a team of Support Friends, there will be more than enough families to meet the need. We dream of the day when the church will be known as the community where abused and neglected children are cared for as beloved sons and daughters.
Serve the World
Missions is at the very heart of who God is. Indeed we are the fruit of God’s first mission when He sent His own Son to rescue us. As recipients of His grace, Christ’s mandate to us is clear in Matthew 28. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you”. So whether you Go or Send, we believe every Christian is tasked with seeing the saving, transforming message of the gospel and redemptive love of Jesus Christ go to lost and suffering peoples of the world.

To this end, Radiance partners with AMI as well other ministries to send and support short-term missions teams and long-term missionaries with the goal of making and multiplying mature, Spirit-filled disciples to the glory of God.
Short Term Missions
Every year we partner with missionaries and churches around the world, sending teams to support them and help in the work of sharing the good news. In 2020, we're excited to send out three short-term mission teams to Indonesia and Guatemala. Please fill out this form if you are interested in going on a mission trip this summer.
Long Term Missions
There are a limited number of year-long internships available through Acts Ministries International (AMI). Please contact the RCC missions committee for more information.
Sending Missionaries
Please join us in praying for our short-term teams as well as the long-term missionaries whom our church supports.
