Children’s Ministry
Little Rays Service at 10:30AM
At Radiance, we believe that our children can authentically worship just like their parents. It’s our desire that our families would learn how to make Jesus #1 in their hearts and take practical steps to shine His light to the world.
Our Goals…
-
01.
To lead each child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
-
02.
To teach each child to love God and love people.
-
03.
To provide opportunities for children to serve and to demonstrate the love of Christ.

Welcome to Little Rays!
Finding Us
You’ll find us located downstairs, just behind the Welcome Table. To help us provide the safest environment possible, we ask that all children be registered and checked in before the service begins.
To make your first visit as seamless as possible, we invite you to pre-register using the link below. Completing this ahead of time allows us to check your child in quickly so we can focus entirely on giving them a warm, personal welcome the moment you arrive!
Safety & Security
For your peace of mind, children will only be released to the individual holding the unique security sticker provided at check-in.
Classroom Environment
To maintain a focused and secure environment for our students, our classrooms remain closed to visitors once the service has started. If you would like a tour of our Little Rays space, we would be delighted to show you around! Please join Jane or one of our Lead Teachers after service, and they will personally walk you through our facility.
Staying Connected
Should we need to reach you during the service, we will send a text from (775) 377-7975. We recommend saving this number to your contacts to ensure you receive our notifications. Please note that this line is used for outgoing updates only.
We can’t wait to meet your family and worship with your children soon!

Curriculum

Toddlers
Each month, we focus on one Bible story thoughtfully selected to align with your child’s age and developmental stage. At this stage of learning, repetition plays a vital role; key messages will be revisited regularly to help reinforce understanding and allow the lessons to take root in their hearts.
On some Sundays, children will participate in fine-motor activities prior to worship, while on others, crafts may follow the service. There will also be opportunities for relaxed reading time and purposeful play. We typically plan one to two crafts per month, maintaining a healthy balance between structured activities and unstructured exploration.
-
Pre-K / Elementary
We utilize The Gospel Project® for Kids curriculum from Lifeway, which is designed to help children understand how the entire Bible points to Jesus. Each week, your child will engage with God’s Word, discovering how each story contributes to the overarching narrative of God’s redemptive plan through Christ. This curriculum aims to establish a solid gospel foundation and enhance your child’s comprehension of God’s love and truth.
Each Sunday, children will listen to a sermon tailored for their age group, engage in small group discussions to facilitate the application of the lesson to their daily lives and participate in a craft or hands-on activity that reinforces the Bible story.
Jane Kim
Children’s Ministry Director
While the iconic beauty of the bay initially drew Jane to San Francisco, her true motivation to move here was a deeper calling. She felt moved by God to pray and contend for the heart of SF. Rather than seeing a city "without God", she saw a city ripe for revival—and she hasn’t stopped asking the Lord for the "impossible" since.
Lately, Jane’s heart has been specifically captured by the next generation. She is deeply passionate about speaking God’s love over the children and students of San Francisco, firmly believing they are the key to the city’s future. Her days are a joyful whirlwind of ministry and motherhood as she keeps up with her three energetic children: Caleb, Cassia, and Carson. To recharge, Jane loves Sabbath runs with Andy and the reward of a good cup of coffee with scone afterwards.

In addition, all lead teachers are First Aid, CPR, and AED certified by the American Heart Association. And our volunteers are committed members of Radiance Christian Church.
Sick Policy
In order to ensure the health of all our children, families, and volunteers, we kindly ask that you keep your children home and refrain from attending service in-person until they are fever free for 24 hours without medication.
Additional Resources
We encourage parents to model what it means to worship in everyday life with your children. Whether it is singing songs together, sharing Quiet Times, practicing a memory verse, etc., there are many ways we can worship God! Check out the resources to help you get creative!
