Mark Chun
Lead Pastor
Mark grew up in the East Bay but left to go to UC San Diego for college. There, he met his beautiful wife, Mira. After receiving his call into ministry, he gave up the pursuit of dental school but continued to work bi-vocationally as a research chemist in the biotech industry. He eventually enrolled at Talbot Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Masters of Divinity. Mark started Kairos Church in 2006 and served as the founding pastor for 5 years until sensing a call to return back to the Bay Area to start Radiance. In his free time, he loves to play golf and surf, go hiking, as well as spend quality time with family. He is a die-hard Bay Area sports fan and roots faithfully for the Niners, Giants, and Warriors!
Andy Kim
Associate Pastor
Andy came to San Francisco in 2015 as a step of faith. Though his plan was only to stay a couple of years, God had different plans. He met his wife Jane while serving at church and together they have called San Francisco their home. Before SF, Andy graduated from Northwestern University with a major in economics with the desire to make it “big.” He spent 7 years in corporate strategy in downtown Chicago. Responding to the call to ministry, he also began seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago while serving as a youth pastor. After surviving 7 brutal winters, he moved to SF and finished his Masters of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary. He has a heart for the city of San Francisco to see God redeem the broken and the lost. In his free time, he enjoys eating and exploring different places in the city. More importantly, he and Jane spend most of their time chasing after their son Caleb and their daughter Cassia.
Marie Kim
Children's Ministry Pastor
Marie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) from Biola University. A month after graduating, God called her to Mexico where she served for 7 months. During this time, God carefully restored her identity as a child of God and called her to children’s ministry. As soon as she returned to the United States, God faithfully opened a door for her to serve as a children’s pastor in San Diego while simultaneously earning a Master’s degree in Teaching at Biola University. After 3 years of witnessing God’s grace and kindness in ministry, she was then called to South Korea to serve as an elementary chaplain and 2nd-grade teacher at a Christian international school. During her 2 years in South Korea, she has witnessed the power of the gospel and the beauty of trusting in the Lord. Recently, Marie moved back to California and serves bi-vocationally as a public school elementary teacher and CM pastor at Radiance. In her free time, Marie enjoys traveling, going to cafes, and taking pictures of the people she loves!
Mira Chun
Women's Ministry Director
Mira is a San Diego native and met Mark during his college years. They have been married for over 20 years and have two beautiful children, Jeremiah and Carissa who have been with them every step of the way on this crazy journey of following God. Mira has a deep desire to see women healed from their past hurt and to experience freedom as they discover their identity and purpose in God. Her current focus is discipleship and inner healing as God leads her to empower and equip women in their faith journey. In her free time, Mira loves to go out and meet new people to hear their stories. She also enjoys her dates with Mark where you will often find them hiking somewhere in the city or enjoying coffee at one of the many cafes.
