Jonathan and Stephanie Moon

Jonathan and Stephanie, with their children Elijah and Joel, were sent out to Guatemala by Radiance in 2019. The Moon family took charge over AMI Ministerio Centro de Cobán, home to both AMI International School and Iglesia la Gracia. Their ministry’s mission is to transform the nation of Guatemala through Christ-centered youth ministries focused on spiritual and academic development. At the school, Pastor Moon operates as the head principal and Stephanie is their primary education English teacher. At the church, Pastor Moon serves as the lead pastor and Stephanie supports all educational ministries.

Hanna Chung

Romania

Hanna became acquainted with what God was doing in Romania through a series of short-term summer mission trips doing outreach in several orphanages. In 2016, God revealed to Hanna the youth in the child protection system needed a real-life model of Christ that would be faithful to them throughout the course of life and to be family. In 2017, Hanna pursued the calling from God and was sent to Romania by Radiance. She continues to serve children in different placement settings as well as young adults that have exited out of the child protection system.

Hanna provides multi-year mentorship with middle school, high school, and transition-to-adulthood students. She provides tutoring for students to help go to college, hosts bible studies, connecting students to churches, and helping adults transition into stable jobs, careers, and safe places to live. In addition, she collaborates with local Christians and missionaries to tell more people about Jesus, regardless of organizational affiliation. Collaborating with organizations that reach out to international students, high school students, and refugees. If you would like to receive updates, please email hannachung01@gmail.com

She is in charge of children’s church services as well as the other ministries with children throughout the week (such as tutoring, extracurricular classes, scholarships, etc).

Ellie Matsuno

Guatemala

Ellie is Radiance's first AMI 1 Year Intern being sent out to serve in Coban, Guatemala after she graduates from UC Berkeley this year. From the Los Angeles area, she was born and raised a Christian in another AMI church, Church of Southland. While attending UC Berkeley and experiencing Christian faith in the Bay area, God challenged and grew Ellie’s faith and ability to surrender all to Him. Over the past year, she has recognized her heart for those who need God but do not know Him, and has been inspired and blessed by Radiance’s intentionality in providing that for their community. This all accumulated into her deciding to be a 1 Year Intern to not only go and serve the Lord but to see how He is moving beyond California, the only place she has ever really known. She is excited to be able to go on this journey with Radiance and is looking forward to all the ways God will move and grow her in this new season of life.
